How to Use More Than 1 Skype Account on The Same PC

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) revolutionary technology allows people to make voice and video calls or chat over the internet, saves your thousands of bucks on monthly phone bills. When we are talking about VoIP, Skype is the biggest player which has now bought by Microsoft. 

People who use Skype’s client application on their desktop would know that the software doesn’t let you sign in with multiple Skype accounts simultaneously, you must sign out of one account before you can sign into a different one, which can be sometime annoying when you have separate personal and work Skype accounts that you want to use at the same time. Here is the Simple Process without any software,  after you can use Two Skype accounts on the same computer, for example, one for personal and another for business purpose.

Multiple Skype Accounts on Same PC

Step 1:

Open Skype and sign in to your first account.

Step 2:

Click the Start button. Type "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary (including the quotes) into the Search box and press Enter. If you installed Skype in other location or on other drive than the default, replace "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone" with your location. for example "D:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary, if running on dual boot or installed on D drive, then the second instance of Skype will open.

Step 3:

Enter the username and password for your second Skype account, then click Sign In. Your computer will now be running with two Skype accounts at the same time.

Important to know:

You must have Skype 4.0 or later version to use two accounts on the same computer. If you are using an older version, upgrade with the newest version from Skype's website.
