How to Backup Android Mobile Contacts, Settings, SMS & Apps

As Android is being most popular smart phone operating system of this year again, though many people have switch to android. They are putting their valuable information in it and worried about the backup of your android phone, don't know how to take the full backup of their Android phone and not aware of the best tools to take the backup of your Android Contacts, SMS, Pictures, Mail, Files and Apps. So this post is dedicated to those people to let them live freely and use it unworried. As we have Shared Backup And Restore Android Call Logs [Dialed, Received & Missed] previously.

1. Backup Contacts, settings, calendar, apps and e-mail:
Simple and easy steps:
Just Go to Settings > Privacy, and make sure that Back up my settings and Automatic restore are unchecked. Then Go to Settings > Accounts and sync, open your Gmail account, and check off all options. With these settings in place, your contacts, system settings, apps, calendar and e-mail can be restored whenever you use android phone with that same Gmail account.

So next time whenever you need your files or your data has lost you can restore all your contacts, system settings, apps, calendar, and e-mail from your Gmail account.

Its a nice and free application available in Android Play, it helps to Automatically backup SMS, MMS and call log entries using a separate label in Gmail / Google Calendar. So in future if you want to restore all your backups like SMS and call log entries back to the phone which becomes easier with it. This free app has a feature to automatically sends you SMS to your Gmail account and backups them under a new label Named SMS.

The app will download as .APK file on your PC so this can be installed on an Android phone without the Andoid Market, just copy paste that .APK file to the SD card and run it, in this Application Manager you can select the apps you want to backup and leave if you don't want to by checking and unchecking the app(See Below).

4. Manually Drag and drop :
Back up almost everything from your Android phone with the traditional way. Connect your phone to your laptop with USB cable, select Mass Storage, go to My Computer and open Removable Media Device and copy anything you want, for example: for photos find the DCIM folder, simply copy and paste your  photos you’d like to back up onto your hard drive.
