Google Announced Android Wear for Android based Smartwatches

Smartphones have become a part of our life. It keeps us connected to the world and with family and friends. But mobile technology day by day making us so dependent that we don't even have to remember a cell number or a name of a person.
Google recently announced modified version of its mobile Android operating system. This OS will be based on its Google Now voice-recognition technology. And, initially it is designed for the wearables, and firstly they will introduce this concept in smartwatches.
In an official Google's blog, Google disclosed Android Wear, a project that extends Android to wearables. And they’re starting with the most familiar wearable watches.
Google also partnered Motorola, LG, Asus, Samsung and HTC as hardware partners to utilize Android Wear, and Broadcom, Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek as chip partners.
As we know, Sony and Samsung already have created their own Android-based smartwatches, and Google is looking to set up a foundation with a more consistent experience, just as it has attempted to do over the last few iterations of Android in smartphones.

- Get your answers: Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions, like how many calories are in an avocado, what time your flight leaves, and the score of the game. Or say “Ok Google” to get stuff done, like calling a taxi, sending a text, making a restaurant reservation or setting an alarm.
- Better monitor your health and fitness: Hit your exercise goals with reminders and fitness summaries from Android Wear. Your favorite fitness apps can give you real-time speed, distance and time information on your wrist for your run, cycle or walk.
- Android Wear lets you access and control other devices from your wrist. Just say “Ok Google” to fire up a music playlist on your phone, or cast your favorite movie to your TV.
