Install Android Apps On SD Or Memory Card In Non Rooted
http://iamsamer.blogspot.com/2013/07/install-android-apps-on-sd-or-memory.html
This article belongs to people those are suffering from low internal memory problem, i personally had this issue on my Samsung Galaxy S, which was my first Android phone with ver.2.2 Froyo in Feb 2011. There are lots of apps available in Play store requires huge amount of space which generally Non Rooted phones don't have, so try this working method to use your external memory for large size apps installation and start living tension free.
Now don't uninstall existing apps to install and test new large size apps & games on your Non Rooted Android phones internal memory, start installing every app on your memory card without rooting which means indirectly doesn’t void your Phone's Warranty. If you still want to Root your Android Phone then its totally your choice.
Disclaimer: It is highly recommended to take a Complete Data Backup of your Android phone before attempting below procedure, though it is a safe method but if you do some mistakes it may result in damaging your Android phone.
Things To Collect:
1. Android phone ver. 2.2 or Above (Android Jelly Bean v4.1.1 is Not Supported).2. A PC with Data Cable to connect your phone with it.
3. Android Software Development Kit (SDK) & Java Development Kit (JDK)
Follow The Steps:
Step 1. Unzip Android SDK to PC which you downloaded before, where you'll find the file SDK Manager.exe then just Run it.Step 2. Now Check mark on Android SDK Tools & Android SDK Platform-tools in the Tools category, see below.
Step 3. After Selecting Android SDK Tools & Android SDK Platform-tools click Install Package, now you can close Android SDK Manager.
Step 4. Now its time to connect your Android phone with data cable to your PC, don't forget to enable USB Debugging from your Android phone.
>>To enable USB debugging: go to Phones Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.
Step 5. Now go to the folder where you have Unzipped the Android SDK in Step 1.
Step 6. Right click on the folder then go to the properties to see the location path of this folder, then copy the location.
Step 6. Type CMD in Run to open Command Prompt.
Step 7. Type CD and paste the location of the folder in CMD, for example:
cd C:\Android SDK\Android\android-sdk\platform-toolsStep 8. After typing above command press enter.
Step 9. Now type adb devices and press enter.
Step 10. Type the Command adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2 and press enter.
Above command will change the Install Location to Value 2.
To see the Present Install Location Value of your phone just type below command
adb shell pm getInstallLocation and press enter.
Information: Above Command will display the present value of the install location of your apps, Value 0: Let the phone decide itself the best location for an app, Value 1: Everything will be installed in Internal Memory, Value 2: Everything will be installed in External Memory.
